The Wealth Flow

Comparison

The Wealth Flow vs Monarch, YNAB, Copilot and Goodbudget

Choosing a budgeting app mostly comes down to three questions: how much you want to pay, whether you want your bank accounts connected, and how much you value privacy. This page compares The Wealth Flow with four well-known options, including the cases where a competitor is the better choice.

The short answer

Pick Monarch, YNAB or Copilot if you want automatic bank syncing and are happy to pay about $95 to $109 a year. Pick Goodbudget or The Wealth Flow if you prefer to enter or import your own data. The Wealth Flow is the lowest-cost paid option here and has a usable free plan, but it has no bank syncing.

Frequently asked questions

Is a free plan enough?

For a simple setup, often yes. The free plan covers two accounts, 60 transactions a month, three budgets and one savings goal. If you outgrow it, the paid plans start at $3 a month.

Why choose no bank syncing?

Some people prefer not to connect their bank to a third party, and syncing can also break and need fixing. Importing a CSV takes a few minutes a month and keeps you in control.

Can I switch later?

Yes. You can export your transactions as CSV, and most apps can import a CSV, so you are never locked in.
